Experience Summary

I have been in data processing since 1965 in various capacities, as follows:

• I have had extensive experience in design, analysis and programming of both systems and applications software in a variety of languages on mainframes, minicomputers and microcomputers.
  
• As a Systems Engineer with IBM, I was responsible for general support of national accounts and helped develop and implement a large communications network.
  
• As Regional Systems Services Manager with a telecommunications supplier, I performed sales assistance and installation support of computerized communications networks.
  

• Three 100% clubs with IBM, selling to a large national account and in a general territory.

• Responsible for planning future directions in the front end processor market and network products, including both headquarters functions and close field contact.
  
• At various times, responsible for all aspects of marketing: sales support, technical field support, advertsing and PR, documentation and order processing. I have managed a staff of field Systems Engineers as well as headquarters personnel.
  
• In one position, I was responsible for bringing to market an entire microcomputer system, including bundled software. This involved initial product and market planning, close cooperation with the engineering and manufacturing departments and support of the sales organization after product introduction.

• Senior management experience as a vice-president and CFO, in addition to others mentioned above.


• Acted as CTO for a startup, helping to develop the business plan to secure venture financing.

• I have consulted with a number of clients on the development of software applications, as outlined in detail on this link.   Specialty has been 4GL/RDBMS client/server or web based business applications.

• I was the lead designer and developer of Supportwise, a commercial customer service call and problem tracking system.
